I was cruising along, had just finished a large project for our VP of HR establishing from concept to operational management a new Integrated Medicine facility, then came a VP change and the new VP had issues with me (unknown to me) next thing I know I am being moved out, out as in "oh shoot, I am going to lose my job". Then my old VP of HR has a need for a recruiter in her employment division. Fast forward 24 months, I was killing it, then promotes me to Director for a couple of years. Then I get recruited by a small boutique staffing firm. During my tenure there, started a second firm, expanded our reach to become a national player with 300 hundred employees,my role expanded to full HR/Operations. Then one of my clients recruits me to my first Corporate HR Director role. Seven months in, couldn't be happier. Looking back, that fear of losing ones job and thinking nothing but the worse makes you re-group, re-assess and re-route. It was the best thing that could have happened to me! I lost my job - and not just any job. A job I loved and was incredibly grateful for - it was the reason I happily got up in the morning, the foundation of my confidence and my financial independence. It was where I realized my potential and all of a sudden, it was all gone. But, turns out it this incredible loss was the exact push I needed to pursue my core purpose and start my own business, something which I had been thinking about since I was in high school (15 years ago). I no longer had an excuse not to :) Onward and upward!Teresanoreply@blogger.com
