We use jargon so that are accepted as equal to, or superior to, out teams and peers. Let's start being authentic. Let's start communicating on a personal level so that we are clear. Let's commit to stop using overused jargon such as, "break down the silos," "drink the Kool-aid," and, my personal favorite, "it is what it is." I always try the collaborative approach and guide them towards the goal we have set. in that way they take ownership of themselves and are accountable for their actions. My team always know that I can be trusted and I believe in command responsibility. Lastly I make sure I know what my guys are doing and vice versa. I work within the team and work hard as part of the team. At time times I need to be tough but always doing it in a kind way. All for the goal and all for the team. Finding your voice is releasing the inhibitio...Yes. Finding your voice is releasing the inhibitions to say what's really on your mind. And your voice can be the soft, sweet suggestion, or the enthusiastic advocate, or the growl of the rally call, or the measured speech of the mediator/negotiator when attempting to tone down a dangerous situation, a confrontation.

All of these situations require using EQ. Not just discipline but also the wisdom to know which type of speech is the best option under the circumstances.

Finding your voice very much involves ridding yourself of the notion that something horrible will happen or some meaningful opportunity will be wrested from you and leave you destitute in some way. The greater danger of remaining silent is becoming someone's doormat, being viewed as a fool, completely impotent when it comes to doing *anything* meaningful. You may as well be picking up litter.

Find your voice. Say what's on your mind. Say it at the right time. Say it in the appropriate manner given the circumstances.Yvonne LaRosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14120251813178898296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3068729084407027179.post-11615633856740005382016-08-29T14:37:33.191-04:002016-08-29T14:37:33.191-04:00Nice share mate! buy 1000 real facebook likes ..Nice share mate! buy 1000 real facebook likes ..Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07510735709487082299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3068729084407027179.post-31980933809528309172016-08-29T14:35:36.544-04:002016-08-29T14:35:36.544-04:00I liked the number 1 step: Make sure you understa...I liked the number 1 step: Make sure you understand and use the social tools you're going to be asking the questions about. I was cruising along, had just finished a large project for our VP of HR establishing from concept to operational management a new Integrated Medicine facility, then came a VP change and the new VP had issues with me (unknown to me) next thing I know I am being moved out, out as in "oh shoot, I am going to lose my job". Then my old VP of HR has a need for a recruiter in her employment division. Fast forward 24 months, I was killing it, then promotes me to Director for a couple of years. Then I get recruited by a small boutique staffing firm. During my tenure there, started a second firm, expanded our reach to become a national player with 300 hundred employees,my role expanded to full HR/Operations. Then one of my clients recruits me to my first Corporate HR Director role. Seven months in, couldn't be happier. Looking back, that fear of losing ones job and thinking nothing but the worse makes you re-group, re-assess and re-route. It was the best thing that could have happened to me!
